27 years ago, oral health looked very different in rural and semi-urban areas around Rajahmundry. People suffered silently with toothaches, gum infections, and dental problems because proper care was out of reach. With lack of infrastructure, poor awareness, and limited dental facilities, many turned to unsafe and illogical home remedies – applying ash, chewing sticks, or depending on untrained local practitioners.
For a community that already struggled for daily needs, dental treatment felt like a distant luxury.
